Why I randomize my sheet, not my character
The sheet is not the character. Either the character is molded down to fit the strict dimensions of the sheet, or the sheet is unflattened and expanded to fill the character. To me, the latter is much more fulfilling than the former. I fill the buckets on the sheet randomly and gaze in to see what character is reflected in the water. The character is not random; it was simply formed from random elements. Character creation is about interpreting these elements and forming a character that will stand on its own.
